First class cheap air flights tactics

Alternate Airports – Consider them when doing your flight search cheap airfares

US market

Here’s a strategy to look for those cheap coach or first class cheap air flights that is taken for granted and overlooked by most. In North America, especially in a country as big as the United States, there are normally more than one airport servicing a particular district or area and fare prices going into these airports are likely to be fairly different and yield you substantial savings.

You are likely to get a better coach or first class cheep flights tickets that you are looking for at one airport over another.

Do some flight search cheap airfares research or look for those cheap air flights airline flights schedule using the Internet  to find out the best prices in the different airports and regions.

It’s the same for international flights.

If you are looking for say cheap europe travel deal or say dirt cheap tickets international travel to brazil or even dirt cheap tickets international travel to  japan, try to look for alternate airports in those countries to find the cheapest fare (tip – see sites such as Viator, a first class travel website known as First Class au, and Trip Advisor, Info Hub or Real Adventures for best deals to these regions)

Say for example in the US, rather than choosing prime airports, you are likely to get cheaper coach or first class cheap air flights fares by flying from or to secondary or tertiary airports.

Some examples include Los Angeles International rather than Burbank or Ontario Newark rather than La Guardia.

You could easily do a flight search cheap airfares research or look for those cheap air flights airline flights schedule airports via any airlines or Internet travel agents computerised search engine (OneTravel.com included)

Another strategy to get those first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights tickets is to find airports which have low-cost carriers such as JetBlue competing with some of the major carriers.

These tend to drive down fares on major carriers at these airports, although these may be only for competing flights departing on similar times of those of the low-cost carriers.

However, you can at least exploit this get those coach or first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights tickets. One of the airports in this category is Newark (New Jersey) where because of the high number of low-carriers flying there, major carriers have no choice but to march their lower fares.

If you don’t believe it, do a flight search cheap airfares research and compare the cheap air flights or airline flights chedule airports you have chosen.

Do the airports comparison also for international destinations and you are likely to find you could get a cheaper cheap europe travel deal or a cheaper dirt cheap tickets international travel brazil or dirt cheap tickets international travel japan or whichever other countries in the world.

The principle is the same as a number of international countries have also competing budget carriers to their major airports nowadays.

Airports where many major airlines compete for passengers also offer the opportunities for travellers to vary the times of their flights and the airlines they choose to get those coach or first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights tickets.

Flexibility at these airports could also yield substantial savings between the flights timing and the airlines that you choose. Always do a flight search for cheap airfares research and compare the cheap air flights or airline flights schedule at the different airports to find the best fares.

For example, at JFK (Kennedy), if you choose another time slot rather than the busy afternoon slot (between 2-7 pm), you are likely to find that fares actually could be lower on these non-congested slots.

Another good timing is to take the late night flights where there are likely to be lesser passengers and you could find a mostly empty plane for yourself and also avoid the prime time jams.

At these times, you are going to find the best deals for those coach or first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights tickets. Accordingly, the fares on these flights are likely to be priced down well to yield you some good savings.

Use the Internet to do a flight search for cheap airfares research and check the timing of airlines and flights going into and departing from these airports.

A little time spent here looking at the various cheap air flights or airline flights schedule at these airports could save you some hard earned savings.

If you are travelling out of US and flying on international long-haul routes, check the prices of flights departing from the different cities in your area or region.

Say you are looking for a cheap europe travel deal or dirt cheap tickets international travel to brazil or dirt cheap tickets international travel to  japan. If you are flying off from Boston, you could check nearby cities such as New York or Washington.

The fare differences could be substantial especially if you are travelling on premium first or business class tickets to yield you a first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights ticket savings.

For example, using a typical Internet search and booking engine, and assuming you are flying to London, Europe and hopes to get cheap europe travel deal, you could see that the fares as shown below in July are substantially different and could yield you substantial savings if you could plan your itinerary around the different cities and using the various different airlines.

July 16 – July 24, First class - New York to London US$2000

July 16 – July 24, First class – Boston to London US$2000

July 16 – July 24, First class – Washington to London US$2000

You could now see the substantial first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights ticket savings from those different locations.

You could for example travel to the cheapest location via road, rail or cheaper budget airlines before flying off overseas from there.

International markets

Your strategies are different if you are travelling in the other continents of the world.

For example, the Europe air travel business is dominated by a few major long haul airlines all focusing along a number of the major important routes.

Competition is quite intense and open and you can easily use the various different airlines from different countries in the region to find out the best prices and fares for those coach/economy first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights tickets.

You are likely to yield substantial savings and especially more in the premium first and business classes.

Similar to the US market where you compare based on cities in a particular region, you should check in Europe the fares from flights departing from airports in the different European countries to get the best and cheap europe travel deal ticket.

It’s the same also if you want dirt cheap tickets for international travel to brazil or dirt cheap tickets international travel to japan or to China or Australia or wherever it is (try these recommended sites such as Viator or a first class travel website known as First Class au, and Info Hub or Real Adventures for best deals to these regions).

Obviously, as noted earlier, you have to travel to the “lower” fare departing airport (to get those cheapest first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights tickets) but these could easily be done sometimes via rail or a quick budget airline flight or even by just flying on normal full service flights from your original airport to the lower “departing” airport above.

The fare for the latter could still be cheaper due to a number of factors such as currencies, competition in that particular country or airport, special deals for tourists or foreigners, etc.

Do a flight search for cheap airfares research and compare the cheap air flights or airline flights schedule at the different airports to find the best fares.

Of course, after that, you will still have to check the overall expenses and time spent having to travel to the cheaper departing airport but because of the vast differences in the fares and the easy interconnection nowadays, it could still worth a substantial saving especially if you are looking for the higher premium business or first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights tickets.

For example, using a typical Internet flight searches, the results for flying on first class on British Airways from the following airports in Europe to Shanghai, China are shown below:

July 16 – July 24, First class – London to Shanghai US$2000

July 16 – July 24, First class – Paris to Shanghai US$2000

July 16 – July 24, First class – Athens to Shanghai US$2000

July 16 – July 24, First class – Milan to Shanghai US$2000

You could search for other different airports (use the airport list or code here) and then input into flight search for cheap airfares research for cheap air flights or airline flights schedule at the different airports.

You will find that substantial savings could be saved if you could plan your itinerary around some of the different airports.

Remember that you can travel to the “lower” fare departing airport via rail or a quick budget airline flight or even by just flying on normal full service flights from your original airport to the lower “departing” airport above.

The same strategy could be used to find the cheaper business or economy class ticket flights although higher savings will be for those premium first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights tickets that is coveted for.

The same strategy could be used in other continents such as South America, Asia or Australia. For example, in South East Asia, check the fares from the major cities and countries in the region such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok or even Manila.

In Australia, you could be looking at flights from airports in Australia, New Zealand or Fiji. If your geography is not that great (who is?), then simply purchase a simple map from Maps or from you local bookstore to identify the major cities and regions in a particular country, area or continent and refine your search from there.

Another simple tip is to check the reverse destination fares between the cities or airports you have decided upon.

For example, if you have decided the best deal is from New York to Tokyo, you may want to check the price ex-Tokyo to New York for those coach or first class cheap air flights or first class cheep flights ticket that you have found and purchase that instead if and as they could be cheaper.

Note that since 2005, IATA has allowed the purchase of tickets issued from another country – due likely to the rise of Internet bookings.

For example, the following fares ex-New York and Tokyo for return fares are shown below:

July 16 – July 24, First class – New York to Tokyo US$2000

July 16 – July 24, First class – Tokyo to New York US$2000

You could probably see the savings from the above strategy which could be applied on all destinations around the world.

Editor’s notes:
The above strategy is just the tip of the iceberg in searching for cheap tickets to your local or overseas destinations. To get ahead on those other industry “secret” discounts that the average travellers or 90% of them do not really know, and sometimes may be just too sensitive to be publicised, invest in a copy of this fantastic book by Mellissa Obrien called “Travel Industry Secrets
